if you don't know
it is friday night and i am at a coffee shop doing work.
i'm not even mad because i'm only doing work because i forgot to all semester.
also because i'm not doing that much work it turns out.
it's nbd i just have a total of 48 pages to write, one exam to study for, 2 projects, and 2 presentations.
its fine i'll probably finish. some of them are group projects.
the good news is, i am on a lake
it is as beautiful out as one could hope for
a wedding is happening nextdoor
i just ate a delightful lemon tart
i had a GREAT riding lesson this morning.
and the loudest people in america just vacated the table next to me.
but here's what you really need to know.
school is over one week from monday.
i will be in dc may 14-21 but will be super busy because i'm taking a class.
i think peanuts make my esophagus hurt but i can't decide if that makes sense.
and i am wondering which of you would like to take a road trip with me.

cereally sorry
hello friends and cyborgs. sorry its been so long. i've been kind of preoccupied, but not really with anything important.
debauchery, sun, daydrinking, free and amazing live music, dancing, friends, spring break, sxsw, and falling in love with just about all of it. the highlight of everything was my first big night out during sxsw when we snuck into an rsvp only party only to find a free open bar, rjd2 and chitty bang bang, windows phones being thrown everywhere, naughty schoolgirls, ice sculptures and most importantly a barber cutting hair and beards on the second floor.

i gotta finish writing this dumb paper.
but real quick. i have some headline news.
i am participating in a big lebowski bowling tourney this friday.
i was really alarmed when my team told me we had to dress as the village people instead of like big lebowski characters, but it seemed fun and i was the last to join so i agreed to anyway.
GET THIS! i finally asked them why we aren't dressing like the big lebowski and it turns out IT IS A TRICK! HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! only the dumb first years come as big lebowski characters. the second years all come in billions of other silly costumes and laugh at the dumb first years. thank goodness the second years have shown me the light. but asshole that i am, i'm not telling anyone! HAHAHAHAH!!!! great joke guys, i am so into this. also one of the awards is for least score, so we have agreed to bowl all of our balls into the gutter so just in case we don't win best costume (so highly unlikely) we can at least win lowest score. i think friday might be the best day ever. updates to come.

great vegspectations
guys. vegetables are the best. my body is so full of vegetables. oh man it is so great. this may be the beginning of vegetarian experiment #2.
it's been a real challenge to use up all the veggies before they go bad. almost as challenging as bschool. i've been really down about it. but you know what bschool taught me? when you are down and out and think things really can't get any worse and want to die...well, they probably will get worse. but also there is probably something you could do to help yourself. so i took a few hours off interview prepping, made a million recipes, forced a few friends to eat with me, and am lightyears closer to finishing these vegetables without wasting anything.
the best part is. THIS SHIT IS DELICIOUS.

curried cabbage and carrot slaw
parmesan cauliflower mash
carrot fritters
potato kohlrabi and hot italian sausage soup
sweet potato mash
AND I STiLL HAVE AN ENTIRE SHELF OF VEGETABLES YET TO COOK!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH
now go get some vegetables and eat them you won't regret it.
or come eat some of mine for godsake

vegetate on this: in exchange for cleaning millions of carrots, planting billions of onions and freezing for hours in soaking wet clothes, johnson's backyard garden gave me a box full of zillions of vegetables. rainbow chard, kohlrabi, beets, parsley, turnips, cheddar cauliflower, and billions more. i haven't even seen some of these before, but luckily their website has all kinds of recipes to get me started!

twentyeleven
i have been absent for a while, my apologies. as you well know, the second exams ended i took every minute possible to sleep, see friends, and be merry.
sadly, i am back at school, but happily, i am preparing for interviews and hopefully all this hard work will pay off. that said, blogging seems like much more fun than studying right now, so lets focus on that.
usually around the new year i like to take a few moments to reflect on the past year, and try to think of something i'd like out of the next year. you may remember that last year, i hoped 2010 would bring me fire.
and fire was brought-ed. two crab rangoon fires in my toaster, a fire in my apartment building, a new path for my life, and an exciting outlook for the future. the end of the year certainly had some bumps in the road, but this was definitely the right path for me, its just not as easy as i might have hoped.
twenty-eleven, this is going to be a big year for us. lots of changes, maybe another move, definitely a better idea of where i am headed in life.
i hope you bring me nirvana. both an alternative rock band that will change the future of music, and a flow of peaceful energy that somehow keeps my feet on the ground during what is sure to be an even more outrageous roller coaster than before.
come as you are twentyeleven. im ready.
